Veterans Day Activities – Monday, November 12th
Help us honor our military and join us for Veterans Day activities on Monday, November 12th, beginning with the parade at 10:30 in front of the American Legion. The parade route will proceed down Main to Marlin and travel to the Parks Department Building (old National Guard Armory). The keynote speaker for the ceremony at 11:00 is Senator Jay Emler who will focus on veterans of the Vietnam era. The ceremony will include an invocation by Frank Conde, VFW Sr. Vice Commander, music by the McPherson High School Band and the McPherson Youth Pipe and Drum Band along with a rifle salute by VFW Post #2715 and “Taps” played by Mark Casebeer. Join us for this very moving ceremony and stay for a free chili luncheon sponsored by the Investment Center, Wendy’s and the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.
