Member Spotlight- McPherson Community Theatre
Whoa, you won’t see a plump swine sauntering across the stage, but you will find the musical comedy, State Fair to be even more entertaining. The McPherson Community Theatre is lining up the cast and crew for the State Fair; screenplay by Oscar Hammerstein II and music by Richard Rodgers. Auditions will be Saturday, March 11th from 10 am-12 & 1-4 pm and Sunday, March 12th from 1-4 at the Greer Auditorium, Wesley Black Fine Arts Center at CCCK. Of course, any production needs a crew for costumes, props, hair & makeup and much more. Mary Hughes & Maxine Wallis, McPherson Community Theatre board, shared information about their upcoming musical State Fair and encouraged everyone to get involved. Whether your talents lie in acting, singing or dancing or if you just enjoy being part of the show by helping move props between scenes, it’s a fun family friendly environment and they always welcome new faces and ideas. The McPherson Community Theatre always has something in the works, with a musical each summer and a theatre production each fall.
