Everyone wants the best care for their loved one, but what if you can’t always be there to provide that care? Contact the compassionate care givers at Touching Hearts at Home, 620-639-2790. They are the heart of home care, providing everything from grocery shopping and errands, monitoring medication usage, or someone to simply to hold a hand and discuss life. David and Anita Settle of Touching Hearts at Home in McPherson said although they center around senior care, but they also provide respite “for those heroes that have taken on the role of caregiver in their own family.” Maybe light housekeeping is just the touch to relieve the caregiver and allow for a much-needed break. Or your dad, who doesn’t drive anymore, would like to stay connected with his friends and needs a lift to the senior center or to a church function. Touching Hearts at Home can be there for those you love when you can’t be. Contact the caregiver team at 620-639-2790 or visit the office at 109 ½ N. Main, Ste 208 in McPherson to schedule a complimentary in-home consultation.

David and Anita shared this moving poem about hands and their role in touching hearts.
Hands
Healing ministry depends a lot on hands.
It’s healthy hands holding sick hands.
It’s a calm hand clutching a panicky hand.
It’s a strong hand supporting a grief-stricken hand.
It’s expressive hands…
…touching another with tenderness
…sharing sadness with an embrace
…massaging stiff joints,
…feeding those who cannot feed themselves
…always outstretched to other “help me please” gestures.
It’s an optimistic hand assuring a discouraged hand.
It’s also tear-stained hands entwining other tear-stained hands.
It’s hands joined in prayer.
