Along with savings promotions for you, the 24/7 Travel Stores are helping fight hunger in the communities they serve. Lisa Tinkler, McPherson 24/7 Travel Store manager explained their current Gallons for Good program is benefiting local food banks. For every gallon of gasoline sold from October 22-31st, 2018 at the McPherson 24/7 Travel Store, $.05 will be donated to the McPherson County Food Bank. How great is that!! Now let’s talk about the selection of goodies inside the 24/7 Travel Store. If you make it past the fountain drinks, coffee selections, cookies and donuts (oh my) you will find ready-to-go meals, isles of snacks and drinks including the aqua cove and free filtered water. The 24/7 Travel Stores also offer a section called the Great Plains Gift Co. where travelers can find a Kansas souvenir and local folks can shop for unique items. According to owner Mark Augustine, the 24/7 Travel Stores are owned and operated by Triplett Inc. which was started by his father-in-law Larry Triplett in Salina, KS in 1963. Since then they have expanded to 10 locations in Kansas along I-70 and I-135. The McPherson 24/7 Travel Store opened March of 2017 and was the first one built with an atrium and their new look.
