Member Spotlight – The Citizens State Bank
The Citizens State Bank/Home State Bank hosted the March 21st Chamber Connection in the same building it has called home since 1930 at 223 N. Main St. The inside was beautifully remodeled in 2020, and according to market president Georgia Ballard, plans are in the works to soon update the exterior with some signage changes and painting.
The Citizens State Bank acquired Home State Bank in 2013, one of a number of mergers and acquisitions since the bank originally started in McPherson as The German State Bank in 1903. Current assets are in excess of $450 million with a diverse portfolio, lending in agriculture, commercial, home, and consumer.
They pride themselves in having highly qualified and experienced staff totaling around 100 employees, all focused on meeting the needs of each customer.
