Member Spotlight – Mahaska
Mahaska is a 7th generation family-owned food and beverage distribution company that has been around for more than 125 years. In the 1990s they bought the Pepsi Bottling Company in Salina, and they got into the vending business.
Sean Tubal, markets sales manager, said that’s when he joined the company, running a route for 18 years. As time went on, however, different needs arose – fresher, better options for employee breakrooms.
Today, Mahaska’s micro markets provide more variety, fresher products, and have a better checkout experience – an overall better experience for the employee.
“That is our goal: taking care of your people,” said Tubal.
Mahaska is now the exclusive provider of Hy-Vee deli products in the McPherson market so those pre-packaged cold meals will be available in Mahaska’s micro markets in a couple weeks.
You can learn more about Mahaska on their website and Facebook page. And see the photos from the May 23rd Chamber Connection with PEM.
