Member Spotlight – McPherson Community Theatre
McPherson Community Theatre is a local organization that brings out the arts in people. They have done many productions in McPherson including the many favorites; Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Steel Magnolias, and more.
McPherson Community Theatre puts on many productions for all ages. As you are reading this, they are training up the now and future stars with their The Little Mermaid Jr. production. The show will be held on Saturday, July 23.
McPherson Community Theatre isn’t just about putting on a show, they care about each person’s mental health. They have put on a production showcasing a mental illness with an opportunity at the end for those in attendance to receive help from a professional. McPherson Community Theatre is looking for more ways to partner with community professionals is combatting mental illness.
The board is excited for the future as they make plans to find and purchase a building for future events. If you or your business or non-profit would like to donate to the McPherson Community Theatre, you can do so by sending a check to MCT, PO Box 542, McPherson, KS 67460.
Are you interested in participating in a production with MCT? They have spots in many areas including; actors, stage managers, lights and sound, prop creators and decorators, and more. A lot goes into a production and it takes many hands to make it a successful one. So maybe you’re not into acting, but maybe you’re good with hand tools, MCT would love for you to help.
