Member Spotlight – McPherson Opera House
Chamber members gathered at the McPherson Opera House October 17th to celebrate the renovation of the space now known as the Encore Room, Presented by Farmers Alliance with a Chamber Connection and Ribbon Cutting.
The new space was envisioned as a space where guests can gather and mingle before and after Opera House shows. The room was designed around the art-deco chandelier that hangs from the ceiling. Between the chandelier, stained glass windows, and elegant finishings, it is a beautiful space.
The Encore Room is also available to rent. This 30-person capacity venue is appropriate for everything from baby and bridal showers to holiday parties and business meetings. The space has a convenient Main Street entrance, a wet bar, 85” wall mounted TV display, and integrated sound. It can be configured for an endless variety of events.
“Without Farmers Alliance, this space wouldn’t be a reality today,” said Denise O’Conner-Munsey, McPherson Opera House Board Chair. “They have made a sizeable donation….and we really do appreciate it.”
In response, Aaron Valentine, Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Executive Vice President – Chief Financial & Risk Officer said, “We’re proud to support the Opera House. We’ve used this facility several times, and it’s a great location, a great venue for our company and the community so we’re proud to support it.”
