Security 1st Title is located at 211 W. Kansas in McPherson in what used to be known as the McPherson County Abstracts building. Security 1st Title provides Title Insurance, Closing Services, 1031 Exchange, and Escrow Contract Servicing. Today, Security 1st Title has 550 employees in 82 locations that operate in 3 states, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada. Security 1st Title ownership is based out of Sedgwick county. “We grew our company on simple concepts. Take care of your staff, do the right thing, take care of communities, take care of charities (those in need), and don’t make it all about the company profit all the time. Take care of the staff first and they will take care of you”, said Partner Mike Brown.

Being a former abstract company, they have patents that go back to 1887, kept safely in their vault. Sometimes when performing their title services, they will need to go back to those original patents, said Mike Brown. Thanks to technology they now have a digital database to do a quick search to find the information.
