Member Spotlight – United Way of McPherson County
About 60 people crowded into the Chamber’s conference room August 29th as the United Way of McPherson hosted the Chamber Connection to announce the September 1st kickoff of their Annual Campaign, which will run through January 31, 2025.
This year’s campaign goal is $300,000. These funds support the organization’s Partner Agencies so they can focus on providing the needed services in the community.
Current Partner Agencies include Meals on Wheels of McPherson, Lindsborg Summer Lunch Program, Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center, STEPMC, CASA: A Voice for Children, Safehope, McPherson Family YMCA, McPherson Community Teen Center, Forging Youth Resilience (FYR) Mac-Town, McPherson Housing Coalition, McPherson County Council on Aging, Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation, McPherson Special Olympics, and McPherson Crime Stoppers.
You can learn more about these agencies and about the United Way of McPherson County on the organization’s newly updated website at unitedwaymcpherson.org. You can make donations on the site as well, or you can mail them to P.O. Box 55, McPherson, KS 67460.
An integral part of the Annual Campaign is the Workplace Campaigns that are held by many businesses in the county. These campaigns differ from business to business as they customize what works best for their employees. The United Way presents awards in different areas of giving.
