Member Spotlight – All Schools Day

What started in 1914 as a way to celebrate the graduation of McPherson County eighth-graders, All Schools Day has grown into one of the largest annual celebrations in Kansas. Education has always been an important event in McPherson County, and All Schools Day is back to celebrate our county graduates from eighth grade, high school, and college.

You can check out the slew of events happening this week at www.allschoolsday.com A couple things to note; a new carnival company has been secured for 2023, so this year, join in the fun at a huge block party at 214 E. Euclid starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 13. To fill the gap of mad-a-thon, FYR-Mactown is hosting a fun workout in its place at Linnea Park. The parade will be back, and the 1st and 2nd graders who missed the last two years will get to walk in the parade. And, their is a virtual button hunt and a medallion hunt underway! Purchase your license to hunt at KNGL/KBBE and be the first to figure out the clues.

The All Schools Day committee is looking forward to a great year of celebrating and honoring graduates from McPherson County.
