E-Community Loan Activity Award
We were honored to receive the E-Community Loan Activity Award at the recent 2023 NetWork Kansas annual retreat for the highest number of E-Loans. The McPherson Chamber of Commerce is a partner of NetWork Kansas and administers the McPherson County Entrepreneurship Community program. Since 2012, the McPherson County E-Community Loan Program has approved 69 low interest loans, totaling over $2,629,651. We will be announcing our 70th E-Loan recipient in July! That is over 2.6 MILLION dollars invested in our community, not to mention the many added jobs and growth for our community.
Through our E-Community partnership, we have limited access to low interest loans and resources to assist entrepreneurs with gap financing in McPherson County. Funds are flexible and can be used for a variety of business purposes, including startup costs, purchasing an existing business, business expansion, working capital, inventory, and more.
In addition to financing, our local businesses and youth have also benefited from business education programs. The McPherson Chamber has facilitated a yearly Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge event (YEC) since 2018 and has offered various entrepreneurial programs since 2012 including: the Ice House Program, Growing Rural Businesses, Destination Bootcamp, and the Maker Space Boot Camp.
