Rural Appreciation to Celebrate 50 Years!
We are continuing the tradition of the Chamber Rural Appreciation Picnic in July. This annual event started as a way to celebrate the end of harvest for area farmers and has evolved through the years to also help showcase the 4-H Fair, celebrating 4-H families, rural and ag related neighbors and customers. The McPherson Chamber Agriculture Committee will host the 50th Rural Appreciation Picnic on Friday, July 26th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at 600 W. Woodside during the fair. With the financial donations from our members, we will be grilling up some sizzling hamburgers from Krehbiels’ Specialty Meats, with a side of baked beans from Knackies Meats and Sweets. The meal is rounded out with crispy chips, water or tea made with Culligan Water and juicy watermelon sponsored by PrairieLand Partners. It will be an evening of great food and conversation, an opportunity to check out 4-H exhibits and livestock, and then bid on the live 4-H food auction (cookies & dessert!).
